Razan Makhlouf

Razan completed her Bachelor of Science Honours in Sociology & Media Studies at City University London in June 2009. She was awarded a scholarship by the Olive Tree programme that enables young Israeli and Palestinians to complete their undergraduate degrees, experience of community work, and leadership potential. Her research project title was ‘Women Representation in Contemporary Lebanese Cinema’. Her current research focuses on Jerusalem and relates to updating the influence of the Islamic groups within Jerusalem’s Old City, Palestinian resistance to the Separation Wall, and research policing, security and conflict management over Holy Sites in the Old City.
