Prof Kevin Robins

Kevin Robins is Professor of Sociology at City University, London, and a Visiting Fellow at Goldsmiths College, University of London. At Goldsmiths, he is presently directing a new project on European cultural policy within the Leverhulme-funded Goldsmiths Media Programme. Kevin Robins has worked extensively on urban issues, including a three-year project, Changing City Spaces, within the EU Fifth Framework Programme. The project focused on seven cities within both Western and Eastern Europe (London, Paris, Berlin, Vienna, Rome, Llubljana, Belgrade). He now lives in Istanbul, and, over the past ten years, has been writing about the social and and cultural transformations that have been occurring in that city. In Istanbul, Kevin Robins is attached to Istanbul Bilgi University.
