James Anderson presented the paper ‘Empire, national state and city: Linking scales, territorialities and uneven development’ (co- authored with Liam O’Dowd) at the 'International Political Geography Colloquium – Spaces of Politics: Concepts and Scales' in Reims. The paper is a response to an article by B. Jessop, N Brenner and M. Jones on ‘Theorizing Socio-Spatial Relations’ which is being published in 'Society and Space'.
